Governance

This is the project’s living dense layer. The article changes only when the model’s geometry changes; these references change when evidence, interpretation, objections, or date-sensitive science improve; the Research Program changes when an open problem or test changes.

Every entry carries Article load-bearing? If No, it does not migrate into the article unless the geometry changes. Negative evidence, null results, uncertainty, and hostile sources belong here as first-class entries: the project retains them rather than harmonizing them away. A new quotation is not progress unless it sharpens an entry’s definition, boundary, status, or evidential weight.

The status labels are stable across the project:

• Physical Anchor: supported by contemporary physical science or observational astronomy.
• Historical Witness: genuinely attested in the named text, thinker, or tradition.
• Structural Analogy: resembles part of the proposed model without being identical to it.
• Proposed Synthesis: machinery introduced by this project itself.
• Internal Challenge: a source or argument retained because it pressures the model rather than supporting it.

A

Admissible range

Status: Proposed Synthesis.
Article load-bearing? Yes.
Definition: The set of concrete realizations that an antecedently selected parameter is understood to permit without specifying which realization will occur.
Role in model: The range is the middle term that stops authorial parameterization from becoming either vacuous or scene-level. A subject must know more than a word such as loss while knowing less than a complete future scene.
Boundary: An admissible range is not consent to every later event inside the range. Another agent’s act is not transformed into the recipient’s act merely because the recipient selected a broad vulnerability or exposure.
Main objection: The theory does not yet specify how much information is sufficient for authorship. Too little knowledge empties the choice; too much recreates full-script selection.

Adamic root agency

Status: Historical Witness / Structural Analogy.
Article load-bearing? No.
Definition: The structural pattern in which an act near the root of human history establishes conditions inherited by later history.
Role in model: Genesis shows that a free act need not be continuously repeated for its downstream consequences to become entrenched. The theory universalizes the architecture from primordial representative agency to antecedent participation by persons.
Boundary: Genesis does not teach that every person premortally chose a life. Jewish readings of Genesis should not be collapsed into later Augustinian original-sin doctrine. Christian reception in Romans 5 and 1 Corinthians 15 intensifies the root-act pattern but still does not supply individual premortal parameter-selection.

Anattā / anātman

Status: Historical Witness / Internal Challenge.
Article load-bearing? No.
Definition: The Buddhist denial that the changing aggregates constituting ordinary experience amount to a permanent, independent self.
Role in model: It pressures the strong version’s assumption that one numerically continuous chooser must persist from antecedent agency through embodied life. Buddhism preserves causal and karmic continuity while resisting precisely the substantial identity the model naturally wants.
Boundary: Anattā is not nihilism and does not mean that Buddhism denies all causal continuity, responsibility, or conventional personhood. Nor can Buddhist rebirth simply be translated into a Western soul migrating between bodies.

Antecedence trilemma

Status: Proposed Synthesis.
Article load-bearing? Yes.
Definition: The three-way choice among premortal created succession, atemporal creaturely agency, and ontological antecedence without a premortal episode.
Role in model: It prevents the phrase before time from hiding three incompatible ontologies. Each horn preserves a different desideratum and incurs a different cost.
Horn 1: Premortal succession best preserves intuitive creaturely authorship and creates the largest Christian-anthropological cost.
Horn 2: Atemporal creaturely agency best preserves literal extra-temporality and creates the largest metaphysical burden concerning deliberation without succession.
Horn 3: Ontological antecedence best fits classical theism but risks returning deepest authorship to divine actualization rather than creaturely act.
Boundary: Aquinas’s divine eternity is not evidence that created persons can deliberate timelessly.

Antecedent agency

Status: Proposed Synthesis.
Article load-bearing? Yes.
Definition: Ultimate personal sourcehood placed prior to ordinary embodied temporal execution, where prior may be premortal relative to physical history or ontological depending on the chosen horn of the antecedence trilemma.
Role in model: It relocates libertarian-like sourcehood away from every temporal decision point and into the conditions under which the world-history is instantiated. Temporal deliberation remains causally real inside the run.
Boundary: This is not ordinary compatibilism, standard Christian doctrine, Plato’s exact theory, or a result of physics. It is also not the claim that an agent chose every event.

Archetype

Status: Historical Witness in Jungian psychology; reused within Proposed Synthesis.
Article load-bearing? Yes, but only at the level of recurrent form.
Definition: A recurrent structural form associated with typical human situations, capable of appearing through many different concrete images and events.
Role in model: Archetypal language gives the model a vocabulary for the claim that unique surface events belong to a smaller family of existential structures. That vocabulary then helps explain how a limited parameter basis could generate diverse biographies and how one shared phase could manifest differently across people.
Boundary: Jung does not provide a canonical twelve-item cosmic menu, and Jungian archetypes should not be equated one-to-one with planets. The project’s parameter basis is not inherited from Jung.

Astronomical clock

Status: Physical Anchor.
Article load-bearing? Yes, for the celestial extension but not for the freedom/determinacy core.
Definition: The objectively calculable astronomical state of the solar system and local sky at a specified time and location.
Role in model: The clock is a shared external temporal coordinate. A birth can define an individual astronomical reference state, while later configurations are shared phases generated by the same celestial mechanics.
Boundary: The reality of an astronomical state does not imply that historical astrological meanings are true. Astronomy establishes the clock; semantics is a separate claim.

Atemporal creaturely agency

Status: Proposed Synthesis / open metaphysical option.
Article load-bearing? Yes, as one horn of the trilemma.
Definition: A version in which a created subject performs the antecedent act without temporal succession.
Role in model: It preserves the strongest literal reading of agency outside physical time.
Main problem: Deliberation appears to involve ordered comparison, intention, and resolution. The burden is to explain how finite creaturely agency can possess such structure without succession.
Boundary: Divine eternity in classical theism cannot simply be copied onto creatures.

Authorial parameterization

Status: Proposed Synthesis.

Definition: The antecedent selection or acceptance of a high-level existential parameter together with a sufficiently understood range of admissible realizations, while leaving the concrete historical realization unspecified.
Role in model: It replaces the morally and philosophically unstable phrase premortal consent.
Core condition: known parameter → known admissible range → unknown concrete realization.
Boundary: Parameterization is not blanket consent, scene-selection, moral absolution of other agents, or retrospective permission for any event that happens to occur.
Main objection: The authorship threshold remains under-specified.

Biblical calendrics

Status: Historical/Textual Witness.

Definition: Biblical use of celestial bodies to mark signs, appointed times or seasons, days, and years.
Role in model: These passages establish that the biblical sky can work as a calendar and sign-system without establishing Hellenistic natal astrology.
Boundary: Genesis 1:14 is not a blanket endorsement of divinatory astrology; biblical literature also contains polemics against astral divination and worship.

Buddhist cosmic cycles

Definition: Buddhist cosmological traditions describing world contraction, persistence, dissolution, and renewed expansion or formation over immense timescales.
Role in model: These traditions offer a morphology of cosmic dissolution and continuation beyond the present world-system.
Boundary: Buddhist cosmology is not an ancient prediction of modern heat death, statistical mechanics, dark energy, or general-relativistic cosmology.

C

Celestial phase-semantics

Status: Proposed Synthesis / empirical extension.
Article load-bearing? Yes, but only for the celestial extension.
Definition: The hypothesis that a pre-specified astrological grammar can assign qualitative phase-descriptions to astronomical relations and that those descriptions correspond prospectively, above chance, to independently coded archetypal classes of lived events.
Role in model: It makes astrology a semantic decoder of the shared astronomical clock rather than a force that mechanically causes events.
Boundary: No unknown planetary beam, quantum-entanglement analogy, or occult physics is required. Failure of the semantics does not falsify antecedent agency.
Empirical burden: Pre-registration, fixed rules, blinded event classification, appropriate null models, correction for multiple comparison, and resistance to retrospective reinterpretation.

Definition: The idea that celestial phenomena can indicate or signify terrestrial conditions without being the direct efficient cause of everything signified.

Historical witness: Plotinus is especially important; Origen also resists astrological necessity while allowing discussion of signs.

Christian compatibility matrix

Definition: A graded rather than binary assessment of compatibility.
Strong fit: Classical theism, divine ontological priority, providential causal layering, distinction between primary and secondary causes.

Constraint types

Definition: The typed categories through which providential integration is analyzed: hard, soft, relational, permission/risk-envelope, forbidden, and nomic constraints.
Role in model: They prevent all antecedent contributions from being treated as identical preferences and prevent the integration problem from collapsing into a vague utility maximization slogan.
Hard: constitutive conditions not freely violable by the integrator.
Soft: graded aims or exposures with multiple acceptable realizations.
Relational: realizations requiring intersections among subjects.
Permissions: classes of exposure accepted without choosing a particular event.

Boundary: The verse does not say human beings selected biographies, parents, suffering, natal charts, or earthly scripts. Interpretations of the scene vary in literalness and metaphysical detail.

Free-energy gradients

Status: Physical Anchor.
Article load-bearing? Yes.
Definition: Temperature, chemical, gravitational, electrochemical, and other exploitable differences that permit macroscopic work and organized nonequilibrium processes.
Role in model: Gradients are the technical content behind the compressed claim that what the engine exhausts is its stock of usable differences rather than its energy.
Boundary: “Difference” is a literary umbrella, not one universal scalar quantity. Total energy in general-relativistic cosmology is subtler than energy conservation in a closed laboratory system.

Genethlialogy

Status: Historical Witness.
Article load-bearing? No.
Definition: Hellenistic natal astrology: interpretation of the celestial configuration at birth together with later timing relations.
Role in model: Natal astrology is where the historical architecture appears: individual reference configuration + later shared sky + combinatorial interpretation.
Boundary: Historical existence of the grammar is not evidence that its interpretations are empirically valid.

Global historical determinacy

Status: Proposed Synthesis / metaphysical commitment.
Article load-bearing? Yes.
Definition: The claim that there is one complete actual history, even if agents inside that history correctly use stochastic physical laws and even if fundamental microphysics is not Laplacian-deterministic.
Role in model: It lets the theory preserve a settled global run without pretending that contemporary physics has proved classical determinism.
Boundary: “One actual history” is not itself a scientific result. It is a metaphysical thesis compatible with some interpretations of physics more naturally than others.

Heat death

Status: Physical/cosmological extrapolation.
Article load-bearing? No. The exact final state is conditional.
Definition: A family of long-run scenarios in which accessible free-energy gradients become extremely scarce and organized macroscopic work becomes increasingly difficult under continued cosmic evolution.
Role in model: Heat death marks a natural physical horizon for the execution layer if relevant late-time assumptions hold.
Boundary: The Second Law is much firmer than any precise claim that the actual universe must end in one specified heat-death state. Dark-energy behavior remains important.

Hylomorphism

Status: Historical Witness / Internal Challenge.
Article load-bearing? No, but decisive for Thomistic compatibility.
Definition: The Aristotelian-Thomistic account of the human being as a body-soul composite, with the rational soul as substantial form of the body.
Role in model: Hylomorphism identifies the cost of using premortal soul-continuity as the identity vehicle. Aquinas does not give us fully constituted premortal human persons choosing life parameters.
Boundary: The fact that Aquinas allows the separated rational soul to subsist after death does not automatically generate a doctrine of personal pre-existence before embodiment.

Jung’s marriage-horoscope test

Status: Historical Witness / negative empirical precedent.
Article load-bearing? No.
Definition: Jung’s attempt to examine astrological marriage correspondences quantitatively as part of his work on synchronicity.
Role in model: It is retained because the quantitative result did not provide the expected statistical support. The failure warns against treating meaningful interpretation as equivalent to reproducible population-level correlation.
Boundary: Jung’s subsequent symbolic interpretation does not erase the statistical result and cannot be used as empirical proof of astrology.

Karma

Status: Historical Witness.

Definition: In early Buddhist sources, karma is centrally connected with intention (cetanā) and causal moral continuity.
Role in model: It shows a sophisticated account of continuity and consequence that does not require the same substantial-self ontology as the strong antecedent-agency model.
Boundary: Karma is not a premortal soul selecting a biography and should not be merged with modern pre-birth planning.

L

Laplacian determinism

Status: Philosophical/physical concept.
Article load-bearing? No.
Definition: The strong thesis that a complete fundamental physical state plus laws uniquely fixes every later microstate.
Role in model: It is explicitly not required. The project instead relies on global historical determinacy.
Boundary: Contemporary quantum physics does not justify saying science has already proven Laplacian determinism.

Late-time cosmology

Status: Physical Anchor with active uncertainty.
Article load-bearing? No.
Definition: Scientific modeling of the universe’s long-run evolution, especially the role of cosmic expansion and dark energy.
Role in model: Late-time cosmology sets how confidently the project can speak about a specific thermodynamic endpoint.
Current boundary (August 2026): DESI has completed the observations planned for its original five-year survey and has reported hints that dark energy may evolve; full five-year dark-energy results are expected in 2027. The article therefore anchors itself to thermodynamic irreversibility and treats any precise ultimate fate conditionally.

Limited archetypal selection

Status: Proposed Synthesis.
Article load-bearing? Yes.
Definition: Antecedent choice among or contribution to a bounded/low-dimensional space of high-level existential structures rather than exact future scenes.
Role in model: It makes many-agent integration possible and prevents the ethical collapse of “you chose every concrete harm.”
Required properties of a mature basis: generativity, non-redundancy, cross-context recurrence, abstraction, and compression.
Boundary: No current list of authority, kinship, separation, conflict, etc. is claimed to be canonical.

M

Magi and the Star of Bethlehem

Status: Historical/Textual Witness with astronomical uncertainty.
Article load-bearing? No.
Definition: Matthew 2’s narrative in which Magi interpret a celestial sign as historically significant and act on it.
Role in model: Matthew 2 gives a canonical Christian narrative of celestial observation → interpretation → human action.
